The PRC-26-C is a transmitter/receiver radio build in the 50's.


The PRC-26 is a crystal controlled transmitter/receiver in the range of 50 MHz, the Dutch company Philips has build these radios under licenses for the Dutch army. The PRC-26 use a special battery as power supply (1.5 volt, 3 volt, 45 volt and 90 volt), the technical design of the radio was state of the art for that time. The radio is equipped with special plug-in modules, to shorten the repair time. There are 6 frequencies, selectable with the use of xtal. There is also a version with 12 frequencies, by using a A/B frequency selector.
